Dec. 28th, 2011 11:24 pm[The transmission starts at full blast without any warning whatsoever, a couple of short, rapid-fire bursts of crackling energy cutting through the feed. These are accompanied by a scream - not the beginning of one, but clearly the middle of the scream, implying that it started before whoever it belongs to began transmitting. It’s a high-pitched, shrill scream, more of a prolonged shriek, though the voice is clearly that of a male.
At the same time that the feed starts, a strange site appears for those who happen to be out and about tonight: those energy bursts are visible a few yards above the ground over the square, and out of it comes a DeLorean, the exterior of which is frosted, steam hissing off of it. Its wheels are folded sideways, lights on the bottom, but though it appears to be intended for flight, it's clearly not pulling it off. As it moves forward, it also falls steadily downward.
Over the audio feed, his scream is cut off by a loud bang - the car hits the ground, hard, its wheels folding into place just in time to catch itself - followed by the unmistakable screech of slamming breaks. He stops short of hitting any buildings, managing to maneuver around obstacles in the road. Each is punctuated with a small, shrill yelp. After moment after the screeching comes to an end, and the car to a stop, in a voice just above a whisper...]
Great... scott.
[That’s followed by a few moments of quietly gasping for air, before the click-clacking of switches being thrown can be heard.]
Circuits are shorted out, no readout... this doesn't look like Hill Valley, though, and it's certainly not 1955.
[And he's back to tinkering with the controls - clicking, banging on the display, but to no avail. He knows it won't accomplish anything, but there's rustling as he reaches for the walkie talkie - which is now right next to a network device. His voice is an urgent, rasping whisper.]
Marty! Marty, if you read, come in.
[It's tossed aside. He should have known better, but no theory is proven until tested.]
[ooc: LATE INTRO but the Doc is here! :D Again, I repeat from my ages-ago tldr intro: Fourth Wall knowledge is obviously okay, but please don't break the wall to him directly. THANK YOU AND POKE AWAY AT HIM.]
